Chinese Herbal Remedies

Chinese herbs are an integral part of TCM.

There are over 400 Chinese herbs including roots, stalks, leaves, bark, flowers and minerals. Herbal treatment includes herbs to be taken internally as tea, powders, tablets, capsules and liquid form or externally as cream, lotions, compresses and washings.

Our TCM practitioners normally prescribe each individual combination of herbs, choosing up to 15 from a total of 400 to treat especially you and your condition. Hundreds of different Herbal Tablets are also available for a course of Herbal Treatment.

Acupuncture

This is an ancient Chinese therapy involving the insertion of very fine needles to stimulate vital “energy points”, thus regulating the meridians or channels of the body.

The goal is to promote the circulation of the blood and to unblock the stagnation of the so-called “Qi” (energy) – “the vital force of life”, and re-establish this energy balance.

When the doctor carefully inserts the fine needles, you may feel a slight tingling and numb sensation, but you will feel very relaxed because of the physiological chemical change.

The steel needles are sterile and are used once only before safe disposal.

Acupressure (Chinese Tuina Massage)

Traditional Chinese medical massage is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body using a variety of movements and sequences.

Each massage is chosen for the relief of specific conditions.

This is a medical therapy that can help people with pain and also some specific internal complaints like constipation or prostate diseases.

You have choices of Head Massage, Shoulder/Neck Massage, Back Massage and Full Body Massage.
